Instant Housekeeping Boards

Users can create instant housekeeping boards for the day. The instant boards are ad hoc boards that are created when the housekeeping staff plan their work for the day. These boards are created in addition to the recurring boards created during date roll. The instant boards are valid only for the day of creation and are not recreated after date roll.

The functionality of the instant boards are similar to the recurring boards. Users can modify or remove a created instant board. The created instant boards are also displayed in the Print tab of the Housekeeping screen for printing the staff assignment sheet.

Feature Setting

The following feature setting must be enabled to allow users to enable or disable the boards at the property level:

Name: Housekeeping Boards
Value: Must be enabled
Comments: License is not required

Permissions

The following permission is required to enable users to create custom boards for the day:

Stay_CreateCustomBoards

Users must first enable the checkbox Allow Creation of Instant Boards in the Instant Boards tab on the Housekeeping Boards section on the Housekeeping Setup screen. When the Allow Creation of Instant Boards checkbox is enabled, users can create instant boards in the Unassigned Service Requests section in the Assign tab of the Housekeeping screen by clicking on the Create Instant Board option that is displayed when the More button is clicked.

When clicked, the Create Board screen is displayed with the following fields:

Field	Description
Name	Allows users to enter a name for the board.
Services	It is a multi-select drop-down list that allows users to select the services to be added as conditions for the board.
Sections	It is a multi-select drop-down list that allows users to select the sections to be added as conditions for the board.
Roles	It is a multi-select drop-down list that allows users to select the roles to be added as conditions for the board.
Search Condition	Default Board This option is selected by default. When this option is selected, the instant board’s conditions are matched against the default board’s conditions. The matching service requests in the default board are moved to the instant board. The other non-matching service requests remain in the default board. The service requests with staff assigned are not moved from the default board. All Boards When this option is selected, the instant board’s conditions are matched against the default board and with all the other boards. The matching service requests are moved to the instant board. The other non-matching service requests remain in their respective boards. The service requests with staff assigned are not moved.

The created instant boards are indicated using a dot (.) indicator.
